1. Texting or phone calls? Defend your answer.
I prefer texting over phone calls. I think that texting is easier for getting a quick answer to small questions and allows for more time when answering bigger questions.
2. Who are you and how'd you end up at the Lakes?
I am 18, recently graduated from Chiles High School, and am now attending Florida State! I love to run, be in nature, and spend time with my family and friends. When I was in 7th grade, Nick Reed became the youth pastor at The Lakes and my brother and I decided to come try it out. Nick was our soccer coach when we were in kindergarten and one of our after school counselors in elementary school! We loved it here and have been coming to youth group ever since!
3. Tell us something unique about you.
I have a twin brother! He won’t admit it, but we are best friends!
4. What are you reading or listening to that the church needs to know about?
I am currently reading “Ten Questions to Diagnose Your Spiritual Health” by Donald S. Whitney. I definitely recommend if you are looking for your faith to be challenged!
5. Where do you see God at work in your life?
During this season of transition from high school to college, I have seen God clearly providing and answering prayers. One answered prayer that meant a lot to me is having a great group of girls to live with next year. God also has provided me the opportunity to still be involved with The Lakes- now as an intern (which I’m so excited about!). I know if He is faithful in the small details each day, He will continue to be faithful throughout all of my life. I have also learned to surrender my needs to Him because it is promised that He will provide.
Ask and it will given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
